Last week Volcom organised three local premieres around the country for their new film – True To This
Durban was first, then Cape Town and finally Kimberley was added as an extra screening because skateboarders form across the country were in town for the Midway Mayhem contest. The Cape Town premiere which was hosted in ‘The Pit’ bowl was followed by a Volcom best trick contest on the adjacent mini-ramp and was won by David Shiffman. The Kimberley premiere was perhaps the wildest of all, following a long day of skating in severe heat, an enormous gang of skateboarders ran riot on the streets of Kimberley.
