Khule Ngubane – ‘Back to the Roots’ skate jam

Khule Ngubane spent his teenage years growing up in the neighbourhood of Chesterville in Durban, where he used to sneak out of his home to skate Pavilion, where the old Revolution skatepark used to be. Fast forward a few years and now Chesterville has its own pump track, which is creating a new generation of skateboarders in the area.

Khule decided to host a skate jam there for the Chesterville locals and wider Durban scene on Youth Day, with some added extras like portable ledges and an A-frame rail. Much fun was had on the plaza obstacles and the pump track with tons of good stuff going down. Khule would like to thank Monster Energy, DC, Element, Mallaz and all those who helped out to make it happen. Stay tuned for the next one…
