IPF: COMMON STRANGERS at House of Vans in London
Founded in Melbourne in 2012, the Independent Photography Festival (IPF) is an annual event created by young photographers for a local and global network of photo fiends, independent publishers and creatives who want to share their work in the real world.
Curated by Palm Studios’ Lola Paprocka and featuring works from eight prominent, young photographers, this special group exhibition held at House of Vans uses skateboarding and skate culture as a thread that binds together individuals and their work.
Photographers Sam Dearden, Donovyn Le Roux, Adriaan Louw, Sarah Meurle, Harry Mitchell, Jonathan Pinkhard, Callum Paul and James Whineray have each captured elements of their landscapes and surroundings, either in their own home country, or whilst travelling, with a sense of wonder and creativity.
The exhibition will be on display for an exclusive 2-week run and will also be featuring two workshops presented by artists Matt Martin & Luke Overin. The festival’s opening party is on Wednesday the 18th of November from 7:00 pm with drinks, exclusive content and a first look at the show.
