Converse CONS presents CONS Project Cape Town.
European CONS ambassadors David Stenstrom (Sweden), Jerome Campbell (England) and Remy Taveira (France) arrive in Cape Town on Monday 8 December. For the course of one week the crew will be hitting spots around the city.
There are 2 main events where you can get involved:
Thursday 11 December
At 6PM the crew will be at Mill Street Skatepark in Gardens. Pull-in and roll.
(There will be a meet and greet at Baseline Skate Shop afterwards – for over 18s)
Saturday 13 December
The main event is on at Salesians in Greenpoint (Corner of Somerset Road and Chiappini Street).
CONS have collaborated with Woodies ramps to build a special obstacle. Influenced by the shape of Table Mountain. The obstacle is free and open to all.
1PM
There will be a video workshop in association with AV Skateboarding. You’ll have a unique opportunity to try your hand at filming skateboarding and some of Europe’s finest will help you do it.
2PM
There will be a skate jam in association with Nebula (Skateboarding Youth Development). It’s a game of SK8 between crews, so bring your mates and join the jam.
4PM
There will be a very special photography workshop with highly acclaimed Swedish skate photographer Nils Svensson. Nils will be on hand to give advice and personally teach you about professional skate photography. The Euro ambassadors will be skating and provide you with the perfect opportunity to learn how to shoot skateboarding. The photography workshop is open to all, including instagramers. @theworldsyoungestman is spearheading the instameet. Whether you have a DSLR or an iPhone, pull-in!
