adidas Skateboarding South Africa has been smashing it around the country under the guidance of Pieter Retief. Other brands should take note of what adidas has been doing because they are doing it right! The adidas trip to Port Elizabeth featured in issue 54 of Session and a video edit from the trip featured in AV 19. Pieter got photographers and videographers on board, took the team on a road trip and the coverage they gathered has a far-reaching impact. Skate tours are about finding new spots, having new experiences, meeting new people and creating new friendships. The coverage inspires others and the effects of this whole process grows a community.
Get skateboarders involved, go skateboarding and produce content for skate media.
This weekend adidas Skateboarding is returning to PE to further their efforts, this follows on from recent initiatives in Johannesburg in the interim. There is a ’15 Years of Gonz and adidas’ exhibition going down at Gallery Skate Shop and an adidas skate event going down at the newly built PE park.
